I LOVE Thrift Shops!
A few weeks ago I bought a snazzy new laptop. (It’s a Sony VAIO.) I’m still getting used to the new system and am in the process of moving my files.
I was eager to take my new laptop to the local coffee place. I longed to be just like the other cool kids who are able to sip a latte and type away. I realized to take the VAIO on the road I needed a bag or case. I looked online and in the nearby computer store. The models I was considering cost about $50.
I was still weighing my options when I went into my favorite thrift store. It’s the cream of the crop of thrift stores. There’s no junk. Everything is priced. The store is organized. I love it. I was doing my usual perusal of the books and then I moved to the front of the store. That’s when I saw them. There was a stack of band-new laptop bags. Evidently they’d been ordered for a corporate event and the order had been too large. So the corporation donated them to the thrift shop. The bags were great and the price was lovely. I got my new laptop bag for just $10.00!
You look very cool with your laptop. Now you need to go to Kahili, the swank coffeeshop in downtown Kirkland, and strut your stuff.
