Over the holiday weekend I experimented with a homemade window cleaner.

Homemade Window Cleaner

2 cups water
3 TBS vinegar
1/2 tsp dish detergent (liquid)

Add the above to an empty spray bottle.  Shake the bottle to mix the ingredients and you’re ready.

I first used the homemade cleaner on the inside of the windows with paper towels.  The experiment was a failure.  The window cleaner didn’t get the windows clean and I had to redo everything with Windex.

Then I tried it on the outside of the windows with a squeegee.  It worked wonderfully! It was amazing!

So how well does my Windex on the inside and homemade glass cleaner on the outside plan work?  The below photo was taken through my closed (and newly cleaned) kitchen window.  No editing was done except for a little cropping to spare you from the more untidy elements of the backyard.
