Tuna Noodle Casserole
3 Cups uncooked noodles
1 Can tuna – drained
1 Can cream of mushroom soup – undiluted
1 Can peas – drained
½ Cup milk
½ Cup grated Cheddar cheese
¼ Cup minced onion
Salt and pepper to taste
Cook noodles and drain. Add the rest of the ingredients and stir. Put everything into a greased casserole dish. Bake at 325º for half an hour.
Variations:
This is a great recipe for helping with leftovers. Leftover ham, turkey or chicken can be chopped and used in place of the tuna. Diced celery or peppers are very tasty when added to this dish. For extra zip add some mustard or horseradish.
